In recent years, China's overall scientific and technological innovation strength has steadily improved, and the innovation system is going to complete, giving birth to a large number of unicorn companies, providing a continuous source of momentum for the cultivation of new quality productivity. Unicorn companies have the characteristics of strong innovation ability, good growth, and high market recognition. They are the "vane" of the development of the new economy and a typical representative of new quality productivity.
The "China Unicorn Enterprise Development Report (2024)" releasing at the Global Unicorn Enterprise Conference held by Zhongguancun Forum on April 28 announced the list of Chinese unicorn companies, with a total of 369 companies, and leyuwelion ranked 103rd.

leyuwelion is an incubated enterprise of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was established in 2016 and located in Doudian, Fangshan District, Beijing. It mainly deals in solid-state lithium-ion batteries, integrating R&D, production, marketing and sales. It is known as “national-level specialized small giant enterprise” and “unicorn enterprise” with CNAS qualification and more than 40 years of solid-state battery industry research experience. It has achieved "first" breakthroughs in many fields of solid-state lithium battery technology.
The company was jointly initiated and founded by Chen Liquan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Hong, a researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yu Huigen, a professor-level senior engineer, and has brought together the best talents in the fields of battery materials, battery cells, and systems.

At present, 369 unicorn companies are distributed in 16 fields. Unicorn companies cover 47 cities across the country, with more than 60% concentrated in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hangzhou. Beijing ranks first with 114 companies.
